José Jiménez Garrido
José Jiménez Garrido holds a degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Jaén (Spain) and Cergy-Pontoise University (France), as well as an Executive MBA and a qualification as an Expert in Business Strategy and Operations from the Universidad Nebrija (Spain).
He is the CEO of AstroÁndalus, a technical consultancy specialising in the conservation and promotion of the night sky as a tourism resource. AstroAndalus is also the first travel agency in Europe dedicated to astronomical tourism, with a strong presence in countries such as Norway.
He previously served as manager of Planetarium Go! for four years, overseeing the operation of portable planetariums.
Jose is also the founder and member of the AstroÁndalus University Chair in Aerospace and Astronomical Studies at the University of Jaén.
An entrepreneur with a strong passion for science and innovation, he is deeply committed to his work. One of his main goals is to modernise the field of science communication by introducing new processes and quality-driven methodologies.
Alongside his executive role, José enjoys spending time in nature and engaging in sports.
